HOW TO BLEED YOUR COOLING SYSTEM


The cooling system comprises of your

1.     Water jacket

2.     Water pump

3.     Thermostat

4.     Radiator

5.     Fan
The cooling system regulates the temperature of the engine at all speed and operating conditions. Some major problems which is associated with the cooling system include engine overheating, slow warmup, coolant leaks. As a car owner it is your duty to ensure that none of this problems is affecting  your vehicle. Some things you could do are.        
  1. Make sure your coolant is at the normal level

  2.  Make sure all the hoses supplying this coolant do not have any leakage.

  3.  Always check your temperature indicator in your dashboard, make sure it is working




How to bleed your car cooling system

1.     Remove the car pressure cap from the radiator

2.     Fill up the radiator with the coolant

3.     Start up the car so that it warm up inorder for the thermostat to open

4.     Disconnect the hose leading to the coolant tank

5.     Blow pressurized air into the bleeder valve on the radiator if it doesn’t have use the radiator inlet.

6.     Continue doing this until there are no bubbles (trapped air) coming out of the hose

7.     Close the radiator and connect every disconnected hose.
